updated GARDEN OF DARKNESS cover
It's kind of strange how this updated cover came about. People can post their list of favorites on Amazon. I came across J.A. Konrath's list and Pale Immortal was on it, along with a really nice quote. I sent the quote to my editor, and she immediately asked if we could use it on the cover of GOD. I contacted Joe, and that was that.

kelly, and it was so weird the way i came upon the quote by accident, then sent it to my editor on a whim because i didn't have a publicist at the time. as far as i knew, the cover was finished and approved.
jeff, i'm extremely doubtful about the brilliant part, but i'll take it!

thanks, everybody! i do love that cover. my editor asked if i had any ideas or images for the cover, and my first reaction was to tell her i had nothing. then i remembered a ton of photos i'd taken in savannah. sent her about 8 of them, and the cover image ended up being a rough compilation of about 3 of the photos. the art department did an absolutely stunning job.
