christa and heather -- i thought about that! hehe. i didn't even take any pictures in the bedroom because i was afraid i might see something i didn't want to see!
Gorgeous place, Anne! Gots to love dem wood floors - though I haven't seen or thought of a steam radiator since I left Chicago. That's a weird flashback...
And most of the really good writers of scary shit are kinda wimpy. Alfred Hitchcock and Stephen King spring to mind. You're in good company!
patti, thanks! it is a cozy little place. i worried that 700 square feet would seem too small, but it really isn't bad.
mary louisa, thanks! yes, i really like the calm colors.
bekbek, it reminds me of savannah!
jaye, this is the first place i've lived where my furniture doesn't look odd and out of place. i have my grandmother's antiques and yard sale crap. it finally seems to work. but i can't get too attached since i doubt i'll be here very long. less than a year i'm pretty sure, but you never know!
the new place is beautiful! looks very warm and elegant. i love tose wood floors! (i have some of those same colors on my walls too!) i agree with stephen (again!) about the madame by the window thing!
I love those beautiful green walls with the wood floor. Looks like you've already made it home.
You take a picture of the bedroom and I'll take a picture of my front door when it's been banging. Actually . . . nevermind. I'll never hold up my end of the deal.
jeff, i think of it as a larger version of the gypsy wagons. :D
stephen, it is very madame sosostris, that's for sure! i've thought of that several times. so weird that it's all my same crap, but it never looked this way in the other place.
cinderelly, i've been looking at those gypsy wagons again! it really is a cozy place.
kaycie, i haven't had anything strange happen for a couple of days, so maybe all that stuff is over. but if it WAS a train, you'd think it would have happened again. not that it won't. guess i haven't been here that long. :D now everybody has me thinking about taking photos in the dark. :O i googled this place, and didn't find anything about it being haunted.
Gorgeous, Anne. Truly inspiring. I can understand the preference for this over Cassville. But there might not have been a poltergeist in Cassville. Wouldn't have mattered -- the railroad was close enough that the train would have shaken you out of bed!
sandra, right now i feel like i'm on vacation and i don't want to do anything! maybe that will change. or not. :O
anne, cassville would have been...interesting. i still want to check out that area!
jason, i'm proud to say i got that lamp at a yard sale. paid...i think it was a dollar, but could have been as little as 25 cents. then i found a really cool lampshade at goodwill that i need to cover with some kind of retro fabric to complete the look.
stacie, thanks! i have to admit that the walls are actually a blue-green. my digital camera isn't very accurate when it comes to color.

It's really beautiful, Anne. Congrats again. Though, no bedroom pic? You might capture some cool orbs! ;)
It's lovely! I'm really happy for you. :)
But you have to promise to post orbs if you catch any on film. (Good call, Christina.)

i'm such a wimp.

Looks really comfortable, Anne! Congrats! And I'm with you on skipping the bedroom pics. yikes! =D
Super Anne -
So when's the house-warming party?
I'll fly over, drink wine and talk horror / thrillers until dawn breaks -
Seriously, glad to see your new home -
Best Wishes
Ali
Gorgeous! It looks really homey and comfortable. I also really love the wall paint colors.
Looks like home. Much happiness there.
Very beautiful, Anne! I love the wall colors.
Beautiful. I miss radiators.
So cute. And I love that it has personality. I'm with you on the orbs.
angie, that makes me feel much better about being a wimp!
kelly, maybe i'll get brave one of these nights and take some pics in the bedroom. :D
ali, that sounds nice no matter where it takes place! i like the idea of talking thrillers/horror until dawn breaks!
alex, thanks! yeah, the place has great colors. and you can't tell from the photos, but the ceilings...i don't know, but maybe 15 feet high?

It looks very nice, Anne.
Beautiful place.
Seems very you, and very homey.
And the table by the window looks like the perfect place for Madame Sosostris to practice her art.

Wow Anne - love the new place! Hope you find it suitably inspiring as a place to write and live. Old heaters - we have water heat in our house.

Enjoy!
Awesome place!
That's definitely a cool lamp. I remember Stevie Nicks had a signature lamp too. That one was blue.
The place looks great! I love the purple. Best of luck in the new spot.

Beautiful place. Got a spare room?
it's pretty small, but the living room has a futon i'll bet you and mary could squeeze into.
i have to lift the kitchen tabletop to uncover the bathtub. ;)
