my wonderful mortgage broker appealed the loan rejection, and my file was personally delivered to another group of decision makers. dave called this afternoon to tell me they signed off on it and everything is go again!!!!!!! i'm still trying to process the whole thing. it's like digging up a body after you've had the funeral. so now the last hurdle is the inspection, which will take place next week.
i'm still in shock.

heather -- lol! no full bath. it has a shower in the basement. you have to almost go outside to get there. it has one tiny, tiny, tiny bedroom, and a bathroom with a giant, giant, giant clawfoot tub. only three small, shallow closets, no shelves or cupboards anywhere. more like a loft, where you have to bring everything. how about an outhouse? it has an outhouse. haha!
Wow, congrats Anne! I was actually in Wisconsin this past week/weekend! My inlaws have a house in Lake Geneva and man is it pretty out there.

jaye, a writers' camp has definitely been in the back of my mind with this place -- and you know i've been talking about that for a long time. it has an extra lot where a cottage could be built, and i could probably buy more ground. it already has a commercial kitchen. location is 80 miles from the twin cities and an international airport. but that part of this is just a pipe dream right now, but something that could possibly happen in the future.

jamie, yeah, sheboygan is such a strange name. :D
i can't say a lot about this place since this is a public blog, but it was renovated by an amazing architect, and it's something he's used in his portfolio over the years. it's more form than function, so figuring out how to use it as living space will be a bit of a challenge -- but not a huge one. i don't need a traditional space and don't want one.
Anne, I stumbled upon Goat On A Pole a while ago, and out of all the weirdo sites I've come across, I often think of it.
