and speaking of covers....

here is the original Pale Immortal cover.

the final version is in the sidebar.

i felt the artwork was much better on the original version even though i wasn't crazy about it. what's weird is that the new sequel cover looks like it features the same model, but it's done in a way that really work.

I liked the cover that was released, too. Especially the metallic matte finish.

Can't wait to see the new one.

So they've got this guy who works in the mail room, and whenever they need a cover...

You know, I think I should try writing a romance. And the guy in the romance is a romance cover model.

Do they still call them globes, or are they breasts now? I've got to have the lingo correct.

heather, i really liked the metallic finish too. i'm glad i didn't have to decide between the covers, because even though i think the artwork is better on number one, the guy looks like he just stepped out of a disco.
the second one doesn't really say anything.

bekbek: globes? *blink* please. it's always mammaries or the teats. ;)

I think the first seemed cleaner, but made me think romance. The colors are just awesome!

Bekbek, I already did that book. It's was called IMAGINE -- and it was because once I asked for a model for a hero and the artist got him, and told him I'd asked for him, and he said, "I'd like to meet that woman!" He did. And he was my "resource" for when I was writing the book. It was great fun.

I like the first cover better because the guy looks more like a person and less like a stylized composite for a wanted poster of bad art. But that's just me.

Hahaha, that's great! (And good news, too: I never get around to writing anything, so it would have been a non-starter for sure.)

So now this is two posts mentioning the new cover without actually showing it to us. You big tease!

bekbek, i'm still wondering about the globes... did someone like barbara cartland call them globes?

jaye, this hurts me more than it does you. ;)
