Beautiful old pictures, Anne. It's amazing how magical a bunch of microscopic black and white dots can be. They are windows back in time.

I love old photos like that. Simpler times. Harder times. Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong decade.

I'm crazy about old photos too. Have some from the late 1800s that move me deeply. About 12 young girls were killed in a fire at my grade school in 1899. One was a great-aunt of mine. Their pictures are so innocent, the pictures of the fire so tragic. The moments captured forever.

Oops, guess I better write about this stuff in my blog. I think I could go on forever...

rob,
i don't know what is is about this time period that i find so fascinating.

jer, that's a sad story. i remember when an airplane crashed into the school yard and killed some kids in Burlington, Iowa. so strange! like your story, it's one that doesn't even seem possible.

zak -- OMG! that is so funny!!!! i have to get photoshop back on my computer so i can enlarge that!!! :D
