bekbek was talking about favatars on her blog, so i had to try it. and now WTF? it seems to be working, but what's all that crap at the top above the url?
How I admire you people. I have yet to figure out how to get my picture on or links to my stories. In the meantime, you are pulling the stars out of the sky and planting them.
Yeah, you put it in the title area. You need to take it out of there, even if it means it doesn't show up like it should.
I think it's supposed to be a .ico file, but some browsers accept different formats. To make a .ico file, though, you have to get... well, you can get a plugin for Photoshop, if you use Photoshop.
blogger is my procrastination station. i've also found that i like solving these problems even though i know nothing. but i do get some satisfaction out of figuring out the next puzzle.
bek: removing that took care of the problem! now i have to find a better image for my favatar.
kel, i've changed it several times, but i think it must be like blogger where it can take a while for the new image to register. even when i refresh, i see the old one.
daniel, i always say make it look fake. :D i want it to look fake. if we're talkin' hair here.
emeraldcite: hmmm. i can't see the icon even though i've refreshed and emptied my history. it will probably appear tomorrow. i figured it would just be a blob of green.
Re the green photo: Graphic novel, yes that's it exactly! I'm ready for the camera to pan away and show you stalking down a street in Sin City. Very techno-chic.

It looks great in Firefox! I don't... oh! Ewwwww! That sucks!
Hahaha! Okay, I can see this is going to need some investimagating.
It truly is a "stupid" human trick, eh?
i'll bet it's because i put the code in two different places. i'm probably going to have to remove one of them.
so i guess i should really be saying damn ME.

Note to self: Tomorrow, work on the stars thing.

neato. added mine. :) now my lovely face is in your browser!
haha!!! that's one of the best ones i've seen!!! the simple black lines work so well!!!! love it!
Thanks! I wonder why it doesn't work so well in internet explorer...
Anne! Your face on the green background works amazingly well!
It's a strange little project, I'll admit, but I shall not apologize!
emeraldcite: so many things don't seem to work very well in IE.
bekbek: thanks! emeraldcite inspired me to try something with my face. i think the green gives it a graphic novel look.
i've had a lot of fun with the favatars. i'll bet i've changed mine 10 times over the weekend. now who's a geek? ;)
ANne, short hair really works for you. And the more artificially coloured, the better (at least, that's the way it works in my world). :)

I've sworn off IE like the Captain's. But, I have to say that I really miss the rum...
I liked what you did with your pic. The false colors really make it creepy. It works well as your little icon :)

creepy is good. :)
Nope, not a blob. Looks nice.
