Steven Torres was nice enough to send me an ARC of THE CONCRETE MAZE which comes out July/August 2007. I'd read some of Steven's online fiction so I knew I'd like THE CONCRETE MAZE, but wow! This is a fantastic book. I loved the way it unfolded. Loved the characters. Thank you, Steven, for writing something beautiful and unique.

The Concrete Maze by Steven Torres
Steven Torres writes honest fiction about real people, real pain, real fear, real life.
The CONCRETE MAZE is a sweet, soulful, heartache of a book. I loved it.

So it's like James Frey without making stuff up?
(Just kidding! I'm looking forward tor reading this.)
sandra, exactly!!
LOL!
i do worry that my quote makes absolutely no sense!
steven was probably thinking WTF can i do with this???
no, he's too nice to think that. I would think that.
but it's very character driven and emotional, and those were the words that popped into my head.
(Adding it to my to-be-purchased list.)
But what should I read NOW? J.T. Ellison's book is taking forever to get here from Amazon. I'm high and dry at the moment (in a Noah sense, not an Ozzy-Osbourne-narrowly-avoiding-falling-into-the pool sense.).
jason, i hope your amazon shipment isn't sitting at the neighbor's house. i had that happen to me. only i was the neighbor. but it was just overnight.
Sounds great! Ugh, I've had books sent to someone else and they kept them!
kelly - no kidding? i believe that's a felony. :O
Sandra made a funny. I love it.
And "The COncrete Maze is a sweet, soulful, heartache of a book. I loved it." would be a quote I'd be honored to receive.
thanks, heather. my quote is kind of misleading because the book is very dark and brutal, but i hope it will work when read with other quotes and descriptions.
"Sweet" I can use that. That's a very nice thing to say. Trust me, anyone who wants to praise my books (or even me personally) will find a friend and certainly NOT someone willing to look too critically at the praise. I'll take it. Thanks for letting people know.
