flashing going on all over the place.
i've submitted to both fictional musings and flashing in the gutters. both places have had some pretty dark submissions, but i've noticed
Fictional Musings seems to have more relationship-driven, introspective, emotional fiction.
Flashing in the Gutters is...well, it can be dark, ugly, and disturbing. my newest piece of flash fiction could have gone to either place, but it tied in with an earlier story i'd done for Flashing in the Gutters. look for it there and let me know your interpretation.
I've also written a tarot article for Crimespree Magazine. Not sure what issue it will be in. Crimespree started last year and is a GREAT magazine full of book reviews and interviews. The cost of a subscription is beyond reasonable; it's insanely cheap. i mean that in the most flattering way. my article ties in ever-so-slightly with my tarot readings at Madame Sosostris.

I still can't post over there, darn it. Another great flash, Anne! =D
I couldn't find the article for Crimespree, not up yet?
that's so strange that you can't post there, kelly.
the crimespree article will be in the hardcopy edition first. not sure when that will be. months from now i'm guessing.
Tribe, it's not on your end, it's my old browser. I can't view some of the CSS coding on certain sites and blogs. Just like I can't see Anne's background to this blog. It'll be rectified when I get to buy a new mac. =)
I keep forgetting to subscribe to Crimespree magazine. arrrgggh!
I'll make myself a note.
Nice story, Anne! I had to think about it for a while. How you can say so much in so few words is quite a talent. :)
thanks, jeff. :)
i really like crimespree. they are doing a great job. The magazine is packed with reviews -- along with interviews, articles, and short fiction.
I like crimespree as well and also keep forgetting to get a subscription. I visit the site every couple of weeks...I'm just so damn reluctant with that credit card...
Anne, I subscribed to Crimespree several months ago and was pleased to see they're located where I live.
emeraldcite, i just looked and i think their rates have gone up slightly, but they're still not bad.
jer -- it's exciting that they're located in your town! i think you have a good mystery bookstore there too.

I've been enjoying the flashes!
let us know when a new one's up!
(and i'll keep an eye out for the crimespree...maybe i'll get me a subscription...)
Anne, I wrote a piece of short fiction for Fictional Musings yesterday. Short fiction isn't my natural medium, and I don't think I would have had to courage to try if it weren't for your excellent shorts, and your posts here about them.
can't wait to read it, mark!
