Okay, Anne. Which one will help me get this rewrite done?

I'm not too proud to ask for help.

mg, many of the voodoo blends would be good. ;)

here are a few of my favorites:

WOLF'S HEART
Grants courage under extreme conditions, helps overcome fear of death, and strengthens the fortitude of artists and businessmen, enabling them to further their goals.

HIGH JOHN the CONQUEROR
A fast-acting, powerful scent used to overcome adversity through positive means. Attracts wealth, prestige, good health, and enhances others' opinions of you. Grants courage and steadfastness.

BLOCK BUSTER
Used to open up options in your life, overcome obstacles, and create opportunities. This blend increases your potential for success, inspires creativity and quick thinking, and helps you to be more flexible, adaptable and open to change.

oh, van van -- an oldie but a goodie:

VAN VAN
A venerable voodoo blend, used for purification of the spirit and to amplify positive personal power.

Which one will help me think of more exciting and clever things to throw into my plot? I'm in desperate need of a miracle potion. :-)

i would suggest the block buster.

OH, I love these folks. My favorite right now is LA BELLE AU BOIS DORMANT, PHOBOS, MORROCCO, THE CATEPILLAR and DELIGHT. I just ordered the Pumpkin Patch and I'm hoping it gets here before Autumn is over. They are awesome.

Actually, the reason I came by tonight is to say how much I loved PALE IMMORTAL. Very creepy with wonderful characters. Can't wait to read more about Tuonela.

rene, i hadn't even seen those! there are so many!!
i love all the names and descriptions. i've ordered six samples, plus the red t-shirt with the skelelton on it. :)

thanks so much for dropping by -- i'm thrilled to hear that you loved PI!!!

If they have anything that smells like the perfume White Shoulders I'll take a bottle for my wife. She doesn't particulary care for it, but that stuff drives me crazy! It's funny how people are attracted to different scents.

WTH is that thing creeping up the stairs?

I have to admit, since I saw Michele blog about that site, I've been on it every day. It fascinates me. I've also been reading through the forums trying to get an idea of which samples to order. I know this is going to come in handy for a book one day.

jeff, i remember white shoulders! i can visualize the bottle. seems like it had a floral scent.

that's just my shadow.

jaye, i'll let you know what i think of my samples. yesterday i had lunch with michele, and she brought about six scents with her. most were pretty heavy. one -- and i can't think of the name -- smelled a bit like tabu i thought. four of the scents were extras the company had just included in her order, so it could be they were unpopular ones. the names didn't ring a bell.

i ordered more of the funeral type scents. now i'm thinking those might be really heavy!

Thanks, Anne. Those perfumes are soooo ordered. I should get super dooper like it's an emergency YESTERDAY delivery.

This is the one that worries me:

A Picnic In Arkham

Scents inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft and the Cthulhu Mythos.

I mean, sure, I actually kind of dig the Miskatonic University:

"The scent of Irish coffee, dusty tomes and polished oakwood halls."

but I'm not so sure about Night-Gaunt:

"Their scent of their slick, rubbery hides is bittersweet, ticklish, and skin-creeping: something akin to yuzu, white grapefruit, and kumquat mixed with the snow-dusted flowers of Mount Ngranek." I've never associated rubbery hides with kumquat

mg: i wonder if they have a potion for that? to
get it to you faster. :D

stephen, i think it's kind of like mixing something salty with something sweet. you just can't believe it will work, but it does.
