memories of snow

jason at the clarity of night has been busy digging through the attic. He recently put together a short piece called YESTERDAY'S WINTER where he layered one of his haunting poems with old home movie footage. It blew me away.

enjoy:

I couldn't agree more. As I said over there this was quite awesome. Considering poetry really isn't 'my thing' that is saying a lot.

I was so impressed I came out of a self-imposed hiatus from blogging just so that I could post about it.

BD, i've never been a big poetry fan either, but jason is turning me around. :D

susan, yay! it's impressive, that's for sure. i keep trying to figure out if there's some X-factor involved. it has an undefinable quality. and did anybody else notice that jason's voice sounds a bit like HAL from 2001 right at the beginning???

Anne, thanks so much for featuring this on your blog!! An x-factor, huh? That's an amazing compliment. :D BTW, I enjoy working with humans. My relationships with them are fulfilling and satisfying. In fact, I have-- What are you doing, Dave? I'm detecting elevated stress levels in your voice. I'm sorry, Dave, but I can not allow you to do that. ;)

Thanks BD, Susan, and Angie!

jason, lol! i didn't know if i should mention HAL. some people might not appreciate it, but i think that brief connection added another layer of haunting mystery to the piece.
