Killer Year

Just when you thought it couldn't get any cooler, the bunch at Killer Year took the KY concept to a whole new level. Read about it here:

and here:

I was humbled, honored, and thrilled to be invited along as Bill Cameron's mentor. I've been a huge fan of Bill's ever since reading some of his short fiction -- which can be found on his website -- and I'd planned to be first in line for his debut novel LOST DOG scheduled for April 2007.

And when I was told being a mentor involved getting a tattoo -- i was cool with that.

here's mine:

I can't wait to see them all!

Coolest tattoo ever! One of the best part of being a part of Killer Year is that I'm discovering some great new writers. I'm enjoying Pale Immortal immensely; can't wait to dip into the rest of your library.

Love the tattoo, Anne. And thanks for being Bill's mentor -- don't you just love the cover of that book? I do.

Bill is the one responsible for creating such a killer Killer Year website.

I am blushing. I am also all over the tattoo. Maybe this weekend when we're all drunk we can find a Madison tattoo parlor to seal the deal, as it were!

j.t., i'm thrilled to be part of it!

sandra, i'm sure they have tattoo parlors in madison.... hmmm....

patry: the tattoo isn't too shabby, is it? :D

and thanks so much for the kind words about PI!

i didn't know bill was responsible for the website!
it's fantastic!

bill, i think we'd better look into tattoo parlors. :D i'm sure there must be some within staggering distance of the hotel.

Hey Anne, jsut where is that KY tattoo???

anne frasier said...

jt: i had a hard time deciding just where to put it. i could have put it on my ass, but that seemed totally inappropriate. another choice was so low it was almost a crotch tattoo. so wrong! i chose low on the shoulder. ;)

Yeah, Anne, where is that tattoo?

Glad to see Bill's getting such an awesome mentor.

stephen, it is kinda hard to figure out the tattoo location from that photo. :D

i'm actually become more fond of that scorpion by the minute.... wait. is that a crawdaddy???

i do feel extremely honored by bill's invitation. wish you were going to bouchercon, stephen. you could watch the rest of them get their tattoos.

Hey! I'm jealous. You mystery folks are fun. Good luck getting a bunch of romance authors to get fierce tattoos like that. Well, maybe the erotica authors. Maybe I need to hang out with them more.

anne frasier said...

fruit flavored??? :O

jaye: how about a scorpion holding a red rose???!!! that would be cool!
i like the the scorpion's tail tip is a heart.

Jaye Wells said...

I didn't notice the tail. You're right. That is the most romantic scorpion I've ever seen.

anne frasier said...

jaye, it IS! i did a google search for other scorpions, and none compare. i never thought of a scorpion as being cute, but this guy is cute! i've printed out a copy and am bringing it to bouchercon in case anybody wants to hit the tattoo parlor. i think SOMEBODY needs to get one.
