do you sometimes have that not-so-fresh feeling?

sometimes i get sick of my blog and sick of me.
i think it's more of a boredom issue. today is one of those days when i'm not feeling funny and i'm too lazy to put in links --- although i spotted some great writing on what fresh hell is this? and mystery circus.

isn't this cute? and isn't cute everything a car should be?

i've had my current car for 7 years, and even though it has less than 40,000 miles i've been admiring these little things.

Yes, I find that incredibly cute. GET IT!

We came back from Italy in '00 wanting a Smart (Mercedes & Swatch made them back then--don't know who does now). Then I was all hot for a Mini Cooper. Then I had two kids. 'Nuff said.

Oooh. That is cute. Now it just needs a few modifications, of course.

Missile racks, twin .50 cal machine guns, jet engine, ejection seat, killer robot drones, submarine conversion, flame throwers, torpedo tubes, warp drive, monkey launchers, wise-cracking sidekick, vanity mirror, puncture-proof tires, wheel spikes, team of six white horses, a fringe on top, espresso maker with trunk storable barrista, self-inflating tires, self-inflating raft, self-inflating auto-pilot, laser guns, death rays, Tesla coil, Farraday cage, trans-ethereal transmogrifier from the Planet Rexlon, a doberman, cabana boys, dancing girls, roulette wheel, oubliette, wet bar, dry martini, a selection of fine Cuban cigars, Bjorn : Muscly Masseuse To The Stars (tm), fusion reactor, juicer, dehydrator, Kitche-Aid mixer, tango instructor, did I mention monkey launchers, superballs, buckyballs, a large yellow hat with the words "Come To Mount Rushmore: We're Still Pretty Impressive", map to the star's home, telephone, telegraph, television, tell aunt Lucy that if she keeps eating all the damn bread we're gonna smack her with the shovel and bury her alongside the azaleas, computer, robot dog, monkey launchers, I already said monkey launchers didn't I, well that's because monkeys are cool, good wine, good bread, maybe some cheese, The Fairbanks Philharmonic Orchestra And Flatulating Kazoo Band, first aid kit, surgical suite, plastic surgeon, CPA, ten thousand in small unmarked bills by noon Tuesday or the cat gets it, pocket calculator, cowboy, fireman, policeman, ah hell just cut loose and get all the Village People, team of trained attack chinchillas, a spotlight, arc welder and a magic winged helmet just 'cause.

Oh, and it should be a convertible.

Yep, it's cute. =D Just like when the new bugs came out, I thought they were cute too, until everyone started buying them. hehe.

mini coopers. i loved those when they first came out. now i find them kind of annoying. i think because of the self-proclaimed cool-factor. would that happen with the yaris? maybe.

stephen: it might be painful, but throw the leftover easter candy away. all of it. especially the peeps.
:D

jeff: i like the red too! they also have a really nice blue.

kelly: i know what you mean. my brother bought a bug and suddenly all these guys started flirting with him. :)

Cute car. It looks like one of those hybrid cars. Is it? It is cute in red (I myself have a red car) but I think it would look really nice in a darker color like a black, dark blue or dark green. How much does it go for?

I also liked Minis until my boyfriend and I test drove one when it first came out. They aren't very comfortable and they have NO truck space. My guess it holds three grocery bags MAX. Gotta have some space!

Oh, and I totally know what you mean about being tired of yourself. Sometimes I just get tired of hearing myself talk. Those are the days I just sit quietly in my corner (or cubicle at work.) LOL

anne frasier said...

tami, it does look like a hybrid, but it isn't. they start around 11,000.00. not bad! but then stephen's add-ons would put you in the multi million-dollar range. hehehehe

update:
the guy at the local toyota dealership says they can't even get any in. every time they have ONE allocated to their dealership, it gets bought in japan and never makes it here.

does ford still make the pinto...?

oh, i think there was that little fire problem....

Looks like the new Tercel/Echo/etc.

I've enjoyed the commercial spots. It's got a kind of euro vibe.

LOL! What about sleek and sexy? I hate to admit it but my first car was a sebring convertible, jxi. Leather seats, 6 cd changer, electronic roof that would go up or down with the press of a button.

And I thought Kevin was a pretentious jerk when I first started dating him, just because of his showy car. But there were those days, driving with the top down in the warm sun, a cool breeze...

anne frasier said...

rob, i think the yaris replaces the echo. i've seen the ad, but i was too excited about the car to notice the ad itself. :D i'd been telling people about the car and nobody knew what i was talking about. so it was a there it is! moment.

sandra! you decadent woman! i love it! :D

Although you'll probably vehemently deny it, I think you have a cool blog. It's unique and peppered with personality (presumably yours). :)

Have you tried one of the car finder services through your bank or the internet? I can believe that they're getting snatched up pretty quickly, but there has to be one stateside, somewhere. Even if it doesn't have monkey launchers.

Good luck.

jason, that might explain why i sometimes feel a little queasy when i come here. :D

stephen: i did try an internet car finder service. they sent me info on a sedan instead of the hatchback becauses the sedan was the only thing the service could find. i'm not in a hurry. i'll probaby wait and see if i still like them in six months.

It's not the car, it's the person in it. I make a Kia Sportage look cool. Jer

Nice.

Finally, a car for men comfortable with the size of their penises.

anne frasier said...

jer, the kia sportage IS cute! i didn't know you started that.

jamie, that's a brilliant ad campaign.

Anne, I just noticed this. Look at our photos. Representative of the kind of fiction we write.

Live in the light, anne. Live in the light.
