summer!! let's all dress like whores!!

if you go shopping you'll find you have two clothing choices: whore or tacky old lady.

you're needed, mrs. peel.

they should open an avengers line of clothing. i'd be right there.

okay, not a summer outfit but very cool.

love the row of buttons on the sleeves

again, nice buttons. cap is nice too. does that come in black?

i blingoed sleeveless black tunic and found this, which is how this whole thing started. the only black tunic i found that wasn't made for whores.

this is probably where my grandmother got the idea for all of her pantsuits. i think she had one in every color. good thing that style was retired.

hard to say what i like best about this. outfit, gun, hair, or slight smirk.

She has a nice kick-your-ass smile. I like the whole package: sleek, sexy, dangerous.

She wants to hurt you and make you like it. Who couldn't fall in love with that?

LOL!

i agree!

It's not the outfits, it's Diana Rigg. You could have stuck her in a potato sack with a cheese hat and she would have looked sexy. Mmmm. Cheese hat.

And ye, the gun and the smirk make the outfit. It's not the look that's sexy, it's the attitude.

Whore or tacky old lady?

I guess the guys are going au naturale?

I was a young teenager when Diana Rigg starred in The Avengers. I remember the face . . .the hair . . .the body . . .the clothes . . . the sexy attitude . . .

That woman made me break out in a sweat! hehe

How bout this outfit, Anne?

Whew! I need a couple of glasses of ice water. One to drink, and one to pour over my head.

stephen, yep. diana rigg was and still is cool!

sandra: i'd really like to see the guys decked out as whores or tacky old ladies too. it's only fair. ;)

jeff, i think that must have been one of her more popular outfits. she usually struck a really campy pose too. :D

Classy and sexy, yes. My cut off jeans of that decade just didn't have the same panache.

anne frasier said...

jer, did your cutoffs have the white pocket sticking out below the frayed area? i remember trying to tuck the pockets away, but they'd show up two minutes later.
wow. those would have been short! talk about whore clothes. :D

Have to agree, it's the attitude.

And I never could figure out what to do with those pockets either.

anne frasier said...

i once cut off the bottom of pockets, but that was a disaster because they really didn't hold change well after that.

jeff: thanks for the link...

I wonder if there's a poster of that anywhere....

:)

OMG - you did that too! LOL

Are you sure you want us to dress like whores? We'll all end up looking like Fred Garvin: Male Prostitute.

The vanity sizing has me going nuts too. I hate grabbing two or three of the same thing when I try something on cos they keep changing the sizing matrix.

While I'm trying stuff on I have to listen to my husband gripe about women taking forever. If he only knew how blessed he was to have a size 36 waist always mean 36

You know, I've noticed this whore trend also! I was looking for shorts, which I don't wear often but I think it's going to be a warm summer and every pair I found didn't seem to have any leg to them. Now, I don't want my shorts to be down to my knees or anything, but the ones at the mall the other day were so short you could literally see underwear and butt cheek! LOL. Who is going to wear those besides Jessica Simpson? Seriously! I think I have underwear longer then those!

anne frasier said...

stay-c, i do that too! and sometimes i just eyeball the clothing and ignore the tags.

tami, LOL!

yeah, the butt cheek shorts! i've seen a ton of those! and if i finally find something i like, it ends up being a designer label. no thanks. not paying 200 bucks for a shirt. if i weren't writing, i'd start making some of my own clothes.
